Déjà Bu Wines is all about discovery and sharing.
We specialise in terroir driven biodynamic-organic wines from lesser-known appellations and grape varieties. Our passion lies in discovering, creating strong personal relationships and directly supplying our clients from great winemakers. Terroirs, vines, grapes and people are at the centre of everything we do, and we believe in sustainable wines with a strong identity and sense of place that above all are a pleasure to drink. We seek out those excellent wines made by vignerons who take care of their land, and we bring them to you.
Burgundy Aligoté is at the heart of our range. We caught the Aligoté bug in 2018, at the first festival of ‘Les Aligoteurs’ in France where we tasted hundreds of bottles of this pure, thrilling grape variety, realising that, in the hands of a skilled and caring vigneron, its wines can be characterful, complex, intense, and unbelievably delicious. We found our vocation: to share this lesser-known grape with our friends in the UK. From there we founded and grew Déjà Bu and since then the Aligoté word has spread. Today we represent a whole collection of wines that resonate and vibrate with us, from exciting places and grape varieties, made by talented winemakers we have discovered through our travels in France.
Our relationships are key; we work with people for the long term. We only import wines
that we love to drink, from vignerons we truly connect with, because of the beautiful and
vital wines they make and because of the sustaining and loving philosophy they have
towards their environment. We believe everything starts in the vineyards, and we bring this
affinity with the land and our winemakers to our customers, who share our dedication and
desire for discovering great wine made with care and spirit.
Most of the wines we import are exclusive to Déjà Bu in the UK, and our own labels are made by the talented winemakers Sylvain Pataille and Stéphane Sérol. We deliver UK-wide to restaurants, merchants and private clients.
